One of the eyesight problems that people commonly suffer from is Cataract. In layman's language, a cataract is clouding of the natural lens in the eye. It becomes almost opaque over time and starts to affect vision. In a normal functioning eye, the light rays pass through a clear lens to form an image on the retina. The image signals sent to the brain form a person’s sense of sight. When the lens is not clear due to a cataract, no clear image can be formed on the retina resulting in poor vision.
